Excellent! J&S Downtown was our go-to-place for an occasional breakfast, but it closed at the end of October. We've passed Willie's Rear, but had never been there. It's exactly the kind of plain, old-fashioned, breakfast diner that we love. Affordable prices (you can get by for less than $10 per person) and nice portions. The bacon was especially good. It was nice that they have multigrain toast, too.
Excellent, old fashioned style, locals diner located near the airport. The restaurant has separate front and back seating areas as well as seating at the counter. The service is fast and friendly with coffee refills on offer every couple of minutes. The breakfast menu offers the standard diner breakfast fare. The portions are large and prepared perfectly to your request. The food was served hot immediately after it came off the griddle. The corned beef hash and pancakes were quite tasty and filling. The link sausages were exquisite, large, plump, juicy with a touch of spicy heat. The prices were reasonable with the bill for two very satisfying breakfasts inclusive of coffee and the tip totaling around $30.
Great food, great place to enjoy coffee, conversation, and remove yourself from the distractions of a cellphone. Everytime I'm in TC I make a point to stop and have a coffee and breakfast here. 10/10, would recommend.
